PeakMade Real Estate Awarded as 3-Time Recipient
of NAA Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion Grant

ATLANTA, GA – September 7, 2023 – PeakMade’s Diversity and Inclusion Council, The Peak Link, was recently awarded the NAA Innovation in Inclusion and Diversity Grant for the third year in a row, demonstrating PeakMade’s continued focus on DEI efforts.  This year’s grant, Fostering Inclusive Excellence and Belonging Through Leadership Skills Cohort Workshop, was submitted as a first phase towards building a workshop that provides direct training to a small group of individuals looking to enhance their DEI development and education. The workshop topics are curated by the participants themselves and is led by a third-party instructor who specializes in DEI development.  In addition, the grant will also continue to support wider expansion of DEI resources to the full organization.

‘The amazing thing about this leadership workshop is that it’s grassroots driven,” said Jennifer Hill, Chief People Officer and General Counsel. “People are committed to putting in the work so they can support others and make a meaningful impact within Peak and their communities.  It is inspiring to see the energy and dedication our teams have shown already and I am thankful that Peak is empowering them to lead our DEI efforts.’

PeakMade’s previous grant submissions included 2021’s IDI grant proposal titled, “Fostering Inclusive Excellence and Belonging Through Intercultural Development Competence”, which expanded PeakMade’s Intercultural Development Inventory Leadership Programs and provided additional support to leaders using intercultural competency assessments and coaching from professional inclusion leaders, and 2022’s IDI grant proposal titled “Fostering Inclusive Excellence and Belonging Through Microlearning Live Training,” submitted to expand PeakMade’s micro-learning platform, Growspace, to provide a 4-week unconscious bias training series to all property managers that completed with a guest speaker from outside the organization.

“Having the opportunity to be a small group facilitator in our most recent grant project was a rewarding experience,” said Casey Petersen, Chief Operating Officer. “I’ve seen first-hand the amazing work that our Peak Link is doing, and I look forward to seeing the impact this grant will have on our organization’s DEI journey.”
